The best part is the strip - no ultra thin strip here - this is a normal sized strip with just the right amount of stickiness for whatever method of fan making you like. A thin strip forces us to pick up the fan with not much room to dip the adhesive. This can result in less control in placement, and an increased incidence of adhesive on your tweezers, ruining the fan.
